Who We Are
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international lay Catholic organization of men and women who join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering.
St. Monica’s SVdP conference members visit our local neighbors who have requested financial and material assistance. We, with support from St. Monica School, provide food baskets to the poor at Thanksgiving. We also collect & distribute Christmas gifts to needy families through parishioners' participation in our Christmas Giving Tree program.

St. Monica's conference of the society is part of the Indianapolis Council, providing volunteers to the food pantry, distribution center, and Changing Lives Forever program, which teaches people how to lift themselves out of poverty.
Involvement
St. Monica's St. Vincent de Paul conference welcomes those who just want to volunteer a few times or become active members. We meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7:00 PM. Want to volunteer or become a member? Please fill out our information form:

Contributing
Want to help by donating material goods? Small quantities of clean, gently-used clothes and shoes can be donated by placing them in the blue bin in St. Monica’s east parking lot. Be sure to place them in sealed, heavy-duty bags. (Do not overfill the bin or leave bags outside of it.)
Donations of appliances and furniture are needed! Please see Council’s donation web page for information on where to drop items off or request that they be picked up. (Please note the list of items that cannot be accepted on that page.) One can even donate vehicles.
You can also support the work of the society by shopping at one of the Mission 27 resale stores. Store profits go toward the Indianapolis food pantry and the Changing Lives Forever program.
