Parking lot capital campaign
Your Help is needed!
For years, our parish has leased the land north of the church for our parking lot and school playground. Last year we were given the opportunity to purchase the property. After months of negotiation, the sale is now complete. Hallelujah! Though we were blessed to receive one-time donations and grant support from the Archdiocese to offset the expense, the cost of land also required us to dip into our reserve funds. We believe it was the right financial decision for the future sustainability of our parish.
We are asking for your help for two things:
1) to support the resurfacing of the recently purchased lot, and
2) to replenish our reserve funds. Our goal is to raise $200,000 by the end of 2025 for this special campaign.
This area is used daily as our St. Monica school playground for over 350 students during recess, for sports and recreation during the week as well as parking in the evenings and on the weekends. Your support would allow us to mill and stripe the lot to cover holes and smooth out uneven surfaces, ensuring its safety and durability for years to come. Care of the space is especially important as we host special events like our annual international parish festival. Replenishing reserve funds is important in the case of challenges or opportunities that arise in the life of our parish, which engages 1,700 active families throughout the year.
