Saint Monica Catholic Church is looking for a faith filled and joy filled Catholic to join our pastoral team to serve as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry for St. Monica Parish. Our parish is a multiethnic and multilingual intercultural parish on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Job Description

• Develops, plans, and facilitates weekly youth group gatherings
• Plan retreats, mission trips, and special events with the adult team including the National Catholic Youth Conference
• Provide pastoral support to youth and families
• Recruit, manage, and provide leadership development for adult volunteers
• Collaborate with church staff to integrate youth into parish life
• Manage the youth ministry budget and communications
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all youth
• Encourage youth participation in church services and activities

Structure

• The position is part-time position, 15-20 hours/week
• Attend Sunday afternoon youth group gatherings
• Attend Thursday morning staff meetings, if possible
• Maintain regular office hours on one day per week
• Additional hours are flexible
• Complete Safe Parish through the Archdiocese of Indianapolis
• Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful
