EMBRACING CATHOLICS HOME (ECHO)
Embracing Catholics Home is a special St. Monica Ministry to welcome back non-practicing Catholics into the fullness of the faith. If you or someone you know are looking to return to the Catholic faith or make a stronger spiritual connection to the Church, Embracing Catholics Home (ECHO) ministry may be for you. ECHO is a six-week program; in ECHO you will meet others willing to "walk with" you during this journey home. Sessions are typically offered on Tuesday evenings twice a year (Spring and Fall). Spanish translation is available. Come home and see what God has in store for you. If you have questions or would like to meet with someone, please contact Deacon Bob Beyke at [email protected].
Other Ways Back
Want to learn more right away? When Embracing Catholics Home is not in session, returning Catholics may also re-connect via RCIA Sessions any Thursday of the year. RCIA is another opportunity to find out what you did not learn as a child, to renew faith if you have drifted or rejected faith, ask questions if you have doubts, or just meet new people - some who are also seeking faith, others whose faith means a lot to them. None of us is perfect! But we believe God loves and desires every one of us - especially YOU!
Meeting with Pastors, Deacons, Staff
You are welcome to call our pastors Fr. John McCaslin or Fr. Tim DeCrane to make an appointment just to ask questions or seek help for your faith. They are available any time, as our both our Deacons, Youth Minister, Pastoral Associate, DRE, Music Director and other Staff. Sometimes you will know a Parishioner who is especially helpful - or even meet one while attending Mass. All of the members of St. Monica are here for you. Please do not hesitate to begin where you feel most comfortable!
Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession
Ultimately, it is God who welcomes you back - and the sacrament of RECONCILIATION is the privileged way you may re-enter the way of faith in the Catholic Church. Though we have programs to help, you are also welcome simply to come to Confession - that is all that is required!
