Our reflection on Thursday’s readings:
Keep me, O God, for in you I take refuge (Psalm 16:1)
The past year and a half has been difficult. Not sure I need to remind anyone of this. And while so many have found the blessings that came out of this pandemic time, I am so keenly aware how challenging it has been for so many.
The challenges continue for many communities as the pandemic continues to infect high numbers of people in different places of our world as they wait in hope for vaccines. Fear weaves in and out of these reports, as so many people search for safety and peace.
Keep me, O God, for in you I take refuge. This prayer that comes from the Book of Psalms today, is my prayer for today. Just repeating the prayer over and over again, calms my fears as I pray and plead for God’s embrace that wipes away all fear and doubt. I pray it not only for me but for all those who are living with fear and doubt today. Keep us, O God, for in you we take refuge.
Think of those who live in fear and in doubt daily. Join me today to pray for them, in hopes that they find refuge in God who loves them so very much.
May all your fear and doubt be wiped away,
Margarita Solis Deal
