Our reflection on Wednesday’s readings:
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light. Matthew 11:30
Many blessings are found in the readings today for this second week of Advent! I find such beautiful reassurance in the readings for today. They tell me that even though I may be doing my best to plan and live a wonderful Advent season, ultimately God takes care of everything!
Even better, He has been in control from the beginning of time and all I need to do is surround myself with the knowledge of His greatness and love. He provides the best Hope there is in a troubled world. The first reading today from Isaiah reminds me, They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. Isaiah 40:30-31
The Psalm today leaps forth with reminder of blessing. Blessing the Lord with all our souls and receive the grace of His kindness and compassion. Even the gospel acclamation calls us to a level of preparedness that means we will be ready to see Him when He comes.
Look no further this day for the message of Advent. It is contained so wonderfully right here. Come to Him. Bring to the Lord all your burdens and concerns. Follow His path and He will make known the most peaceful ways to live your life.
Only in Jesus, His Father, and the Holy Spirit can we find the true peace of Advent. Please join me in leaning into the love that makes all yokes easy and burdens light.

Muchas bendiciones se encuentran en las lecturas de hoy para esta segunda semana de Adviento! Encuentro tan hermosa tranquilidad en las lecturas de hoy. Me dicen que aunque pueda estar haciendo todo lo posible para planificar y vivir una maravillosa temporada de Adviento, ¡en última instancia Dios se encarga de todo!
Aún mejor, ha estado en control desde el principio de los tiempos y todo lo que necesito hacer es rodearme del conocimiento de Su grandeza y amor. Proporciona la mejor esperanza que hay en un mundo atribulado. La primera lectura de hoy de Isaías me recuerda: Pero aquellos que ponen su esperanza en el Señor,renuevan sus fuerzas; les nacen alas como de águila, corren y no se cansan, caminan y no se fatigan. Isaías: 40:30-31
El Salmo salta hoy con recordatorio de bendición. Bendice al Señor con todas nuestras almas y recibe la gracia de Su bondad y compasión. Incluso la aclamación del Evangelio nos llama a un nivel de preparación que significa que estaremos listos para verlo cuando venga.
No busquen más este día el mensaje de Adviento. Está contenido tan maravillosamente aquí. Ven a El. Lleva al Señor todas tus cargas e inquietudes. Sigue Su camino y dará a conocer las formas más pacíficas de vivir tu vida.
Sólo en Jesús, Su Padre y el Espíritu Santo podemos encontrar la verdadera paz del Adviento. Por favor, únete a mí para apoyarte en el amor que hace que todos los yugos sean fáciles y las cargas ligeras.
