Come spend some time with your dear, dear friend, Jesus. Eucharistic Adoration is available at St. Monica’s every Tuesday evening following the 5:30 p.m. Mass, and on the second Sunday of the month following the 6:00 p.m. Sunday Mass. Both sessions culminate with Benediction. Spending time in quiet prayer while revering the Blessed Sacraments allows us to grow in our spiritual holiness. On July 27th-30th I will offer a four part series on Prayer and Catholic Spirituality in the St. Augustine Room. It will be particularly focused on prayer for beginners, looking at ways to start a life of prayer or improve the one you have. Please join me for a light pitch-in meal, a talk, conversation and prayer. Each evening will begin at 6:00pm and conclude at 8:00pm, and you are free to come to just one night, two, or all four. The St. Monica Hispanic Youth Group under the direction of Luis Sanchez has been very active this summer having held a retreat and a fiesta in June. The group celebrated the first anniversary of being a vibrant, active group. Several pictures are posted below of the retreat and fiesta.
