Youth Ministry Program Overview

Welcome to Saint Monica Youth Ministry! My name is Emily Scharbrough and I have the incredible privilege of serving as the Director of Youth Ministry for Saint Monica Catholic Church. Feel free to browse our website for info on how to get involved, what we are up to, and how you can get plugged-in to serving God!

This year we will be starting the LifeTeen program at Saint Monica. LifeTeen is a national, comprehensive Catholic youth ministry program for teens in grades 9-12. It is modeled off the Renewing the Vision document written by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops and based off the individual experience of the parish. High school teens have a chance to meet new friends, grow in their walk with Christ and have a chance to give back to the community. Many of the surrounding parishes have utilized this program and we are excited to launch it here at Saint Monica! To learn more about the LifeTeen program, view this informational video at http://vimeo.com/7172031.

Together as followers of Christ, we will seek to serve and know God more fully in everything that we do. We are a community yearning to love God, love one another, and bring Christ’s peace into the world. How do we do that?

•Weekly LifeTeen Nights

•Youth Leadership Groups

•Life-impacting service experiences, retreats, and Bible
studies

•Fully immersing ourselves in the sacramental life of the Church.
