Music Ministry
Adult Choir
All God’s creatures got a place in the choir…
St. Monica’s Choir is a blend of enthusiastic and industrious voices with one common commitment: to assist the worshiping assembly in song. The choir sings at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday mass. We warmly welcome all parishioners who are able to lend their voices to our weekly practices on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. No audition is needed. For more information or to join, contact St. Monica’s Music Director: Christine Seitz, 253-2193, ex. 6; cseitz@stmonicaindy.org

Funeral Choir
The funeral choir ministers to the family and friends of the deceased by providing and encouraging full participation in the funeral liturgy. We welcome all who enjoy singing basic congregational music–no choir experience is necessary. Informational meetings and rehearsals are as needed (no more than twice per year), and members may participate in as many or as few funerals as they are able to attend. We need a lot of volunteers for this ministry, so please conact St. Monica’s Music Director, Christine Seitz, if you are able to join: 253-2193, ext. 6; cseitz@stmonicaindy.org
Cantors
Being a cantor is one of the more visible roles in the music ministry. It requires both a strong, good voice and the ability to read music. The cantor’s role is to lead the worshiping assembly during the liturgy and to proclaim the Word in music, especially through the psalms. If you are interested in learning more about being a cantor, contact St. Monica’s Music Director, Christine Seitz, 253-2193, ex. 6; cseitz@stmonicaindy.org
